Sarah Dahlinger
Sarah Dahlinger is a multimedia artist from Wyoming based in Queens, New York. Her interdisciplinary practice spans sculpture, video, printmaking, performance, installation, mask making, costume and prop design, often exploring participation, humor, and material transformation. She is the co-founder and co-director of Springboard Collective, an artist collaboration that creates immersive, interactive installations, and also collaborates as a creative producer and artist with WHOOP DEE DOO, an intergenerational, community-based performance project.
Selected exhibitions include Captive Portal (Copenhagen, Denmark), Institut for X (Aarhus, Denmark), Flux Factory (Queens, NY), Danube Video Art Festival (Austria), and the Athens International Film and Video Festival (Athens, OH). She has also produced collaborative projects at Pioneer Works, Knockdown Center, The Hole, the High Line, and SFMOMA. Dahlinger has received the Queens Art Fund: New Work Grant (2025), the Flushing Town Hall Artists in Queens Grant (2023), and the City Artist Corps Fund (2021).

20 Empty Tree Beds - 24 Participating Artists
Ridgewood's sidewalks contain more than 800 empty street tree beds, roughly one for every 90 residents. For one weekend, twenty of these overlooked spaces will be transformed into temporary, site-specific artworks by 23 participating artists.
Visitors are invited to explore the neighborhood on foot, discovering how contemporary art can temporarily transform familiar streets while reflecting on public space, urban ecology, and the hidden potential of the city's overlooked landscape.
