Nicolas Kubail Kalousdian
Nicolas Kubail Kalousdian (b. 1993, São Paulo, Brazil) is a sculptor working with wood and robotics. He builds moving objects to capture small, living moments, focusing on the everyday rhythms we all share. By setting inanimate forms in motion, he taps into our deeply rooted instinct to read movement as a sign of meaning and of life. Unfolding in time, the sculptures invite viewers to naturally project their own emotions and stories onto them, revealing honest truths about the human experience.
He holds a MSc from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, and a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art.

20 Empty Tree Beds - 24 Participating Artists
Ridgewood's sidewalks contain more than 800 empty street tree beds, roughly one for every 90 residents. For one weekend, twenty of these overlooked spaces will be transformed into temporary, site-specific artworks by 23 participating artists.
Visitors are invited to explore the neighborhood on foot, discovering how contemporary art can temporarily transform familiar streets while reflecting on public space, urban ecology, and the hidden potential of the city's overlooked landscape.
