Ianthe Jackson
Bio
Ianthe Jackson is an artist and educator based in Brooklyn, NY and originally from Buffalo NY. She received her bachelors degree from School of Visual Arts in 1998 in Manhattan and received a fellowship for her masters in sculpture from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia in 2005. Her work explores ideas of place, perception and our relationship to the natural world. She is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in drawing and sculpture / Installation.

20 Empty Tree Beds - 23 Participating Artists
Ridgewood's sidewalks contain more than 800 empty street tree beds, roughly one for every 90 residents. For one weekend, twenty of these overlooked spaces will be transformed into temporary, site-specific artworks by 23 participating artists.
Visitors are invited to explore the neighborhood on foot, discovering how contemporary art can temporarily transform familiar streets while reflecting on public space, urban ecology, and the hidden potential of the city's overlooked landscape.
